Grendel36 is a fusion of the well-known 2048 style tile game and the classic online game Grendel’s Cave, resulting in Grendel36 2048. Dive into the traditional 2048 puzzle experience with an added layer of excitement and strategic gameplay, such as earning mystical weapons to battle monsters and manipulating monster positions on the game board. The quest ahead includes confronting Grendel, crafting an amulet from combined monsters, defeating Grendel, overcoming Grendel’s Mother, forging the Giant Sword, vanquishing the Dragon, transforming into a dragon slayer hero, and striving towards Valhalla.
To play Grendel36, navigate a 4x4 game board by swiping up, down, left, and right to merge identical monster tiles. When two identical monsters collide and merge, they perish and spawn the next higher-valued monster in their place. After each move, a new monster tile randomly materializes on an empty board space. Keep merging monsters to ascend to more valuable monster levels until combining the two highest value monsters to progress to the subsequent level. By aligning three or more identical monsters in a row, you acquire mystical weapons. Employ these supernatural tools strategically to your advantage - swords for direct monster eliminations, Thor’s Hammer for eradicating entire rows or columns of monsters simultaneously, and the Witch’s magical Hourglass for rearranging monster positions on the board for enhanced gameplay.
The game comprises 24 cave levels with pinnacle monsters from 512 up to 1024 in value. There are four advanced levels: a 2048 level culminating in confronting and subduing Cyclops at the end of pools of water; a Heorot Hall level for wrestling with Grendel; a 4096 level set in the Mere for battling Grendel’s Mother; and an 8192 level in the Dragon’s Lair for exterminating the Dragon.
Progressing from one level to the next bestows additional bonus weapons and keys to access the Dragon’s treasure trove. Use these keys to potentially pilfer items such as swords, Mjolnir, Hourglasses, and with serendipity on your side, uncover a Magic Hole that expands the game board size to 5x5 or beyond.
